Join us for a celebration of chocolate, cacao, and beer! During this experiential event, beer writer David Nilsen and Third Eye Brewmaster Kelly Montgomery will guide you through a tasting of two beers brewed with cacao (the seeds from which chocolate is made) and a pairing of two beers with two excellent craft chocolates. Along the way, we'll learn about how cacao gets used in brewing, how chocolate is made, and how to pair these two indulgences together!
After the tasting event, stick around for a behind the scenes tour of the brewery!
David Nilsen is an award-winning beer writer from the Dayton area. He's an Advanced Cicerone©, and a member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers and the British Guild of Beer Writers. He hosts the Bean to Barstool podcast covering the intersections of craft chocolate and artisan drinks, and he's the author of the book Pairing Beer & Chocolate.
